The  Biolet 25a Waterless Composting Toilet is the perfect choice for your boathouse, bunkie, pool cabana, and even as a second (or third) toilet.

The Biolet 25a is easy to install and use. It plugs into a standard electrical outlet.  It is easily placed almost anywhere.  Simple perfect.  No Odours. You can have a toilet lakeside in your boathouse, or poolside in your cabana.  Anywhere.

How does it work?

Super easy, and brilliant technology.

Sitting on the toilet seat opens the trap doors; closing the toilet seat lid after each use activates the stainless steel mixing mechanism that efficiently breaks down paper and distributes moisture into the compost material in the upper chamber. Once a week or as needed, mulch is added through the toilet seat opening. That is it!

The Biolet 25a Waterless Composting Toilet accelerates the natural decomposition process and evaporates excess moisture. The material in the upper chamber is finished in the lower chamber and eventually emptied. Under vacation use, the finished compost is emptied only once or twice a year!

Using efficient Swedish technology electrical consumption is very low. The Biolet 25a Waterless Composting Toilet uses approximately 64 watts per person per hour (averaged over a 24 hour period). When you are away for more than two days, just shut it off! It does not use any electricity when you are away.

The Biolet 25a does not require space under the building as the whole unit is “above floor” and is easily installed in about 3 hours.

The Biolet 25a comes with 2 bags of Mulch, a standard vent installation kit (approximately 8 ft interior vent pipe, 4 ft exterior vent pipe, insulation, roof flashing, insect netting), and manual mixing rake.

Additional Vent pipe, 45 degree elbows and Mulch are available separately.

Flat-rate shipping fee of $375 to most of Canada.

What nightmares are made of

🚫 RUN from the Multoa Biolet. This was the single worst purchase we’ve ever made for our cottage—overflowing sewage, broken parts, unbearable smell, and years of stress. The marketing is misleading, and the product is a nightmare.

We spent a long time researching self-contained eco toilets for our seasonal off-grid cottage and finally decided on the Multoa Biolet. After three years of torture, we replaced it—and I’m still traumatized by what happened when things went wrong.

This toilet cannot handle more than one male user occasionally. Any more than that and it overflows—which is more disgusting than you can imagine. To make matters worse, the overflow light malfunctioned early on, so we had no warning when the bottom compartment was full. We had to physically remove the entire unit from the house and dump raw sewage just to make it usable again.

The design flaws are shocking:
• If the bottom tray has overflowed, just removing the screws is enough for liquid sewage to escape.
• If you crank up the heat, the contents bake into a hardened mess that requires literally chipping it out of the tray.
• The mixing arm broke multiple times, creating additional problems and a revolting experience due to its placement relative to the hole.

On top of that, flies were frequent, the smell was awful, and the stress of trying to keep the “ecosystem” balanced with soil and liquid made every visit to the cottage feel like a chemistry experiment instead of a getaway.

This was, without question, the single worst mistake we made for our cottage. Do not trust the marketing on their website. The Multoa Biolet was unreliable, disgusting, and caused us years of stress.

Excellent service and advice

As a former purchaser (2006) I knew the product would be just as excellent in this new generation of composting toilets. The service and support were excellent as I was "walked through" the process of purchase, delivery and installation. Now we will be all set to start using it with confidence.
